Ubaldo Sichi captures the changing light and the human soul in timeless artworks.
Ubaldo Sichi, an artist from Florence, settled in Amsterdam and graduated from the Rietveld Academy in 1982. His work is timeless and focuses on universal human themes. Sichi is known as the painter of light, bringing mood and light into motion. His unique technique involves using transparent elements, created by pouring acrylic medium into a wax mold, which are then attached to linen or plexiglass and combined with acrylic paint. Some of his works are colorless and consist almost entirely of light shining through the piece, forming an image. He applies this technique to doors, windows, room dividers, and paintings.
