The Maastricht Museum is proud to present the exhibition An Ode, a unique celebration of the work of renowned Flemish designer and ceramist Pieter Stockmans. As an industrial designer at Royal Mosa in Maastricht, Stockmans left his mark on the ceramic art and industry. Now he returns to the city that played an important role in his career and in the centuries-old ceramic tradition.

The exhibition displays Stockmans' timeless creations alongside archaeological finds and ceramic masterpieces from then and now. From prehistoric pottery to Royal Mosa's finest porcelain and Studio Stockmans' contemporary designs. As a highlight, a new work by Stockmans, created especially for this occasion, will be shown, symbolising the rich history and future of ceramics.
