Halloween Whiskey Tasting

Back to the Maastricht Caves for a seasonal whiskey tasting. This time with a twist: four peated whiskeys during a tour of the Zonneberg Caves. A unique tasting as previously held, but now with an extra touch of smoke.

An underground tasting, atmospheric and without sensory distractions. Only rich smoke and the best single malts from Europe.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Adults only (#No18NoAlcohol).
• The tasting will be held in English.
• Please be ready outside Buitengoed Slavante for the tour to begin before 2:00 pm. If you arrive late, they can't wait for you!
• Wear appropriate clothing for the tour. The caves will be 11 degrees and humid, and there will be a steep sandy floor.

The 4 whiskeys you will taste on this tour/tasting:

1. Fary Lochan - Peaty Perfection : Danish single malt, single cask bottling of untasted whisky with a finish on'n ex-Islay cask, which is good enough to give a lot of smoke ! (52.9%)

2. Kyrö - Peat Smoke: Finnish rye malt over Finnish freshwater peat smoked. A rich rye whiskey with earthy notes and a gentle kind of smokiness (47.2%)

3. Bossche Stokers / 3006 Whisky - Hemel en Hellevuur: Dutch single malt produced in Den Bosch and aged in a nice combination of PX Quarter Cask, Palo Cortado Octave, and Oloroso Octave barrels (48%)

4. WhiskyLab / 3006 Whisky - Holy Smokes: An independently bottled Scotch whisky, an eight-year-old tart peaty gem from Islay, selected by WhiskyLab (59.8%)
