Although not technically a mountain, we still call it one. You'll feel the same way as you follow one of the hiking, cycling, or MTB routes running through Sint Pieters Hill. At the head of the mountain lies Fort Sint Pieter, an impressive defense structure for the city of Maastricht, offering a fantastic view of the city. The lookout point (yellow route) provides a breathtaking view of the ENCI quarry with its clear blue water. The viewpoint is always accessible between sunrise and sunset. The staircase to the quarry area has 215 steps, and dogs are not allowed on the stairs or in the quarry.
At the Visitors Center on Wheels, the forest rangers are eager to share more about the area, the trails, and all the activities. You can also find charming souvenirs to remember your visit. For more information about the Visitors Center on Wheels and its location, check the website.
