The 'Guess who is coming for dinner?' Exhibition Unveils Historical Female Figures Through Their Unique Interiors
For the 'Guess who is coming for dinner?' exhibition, third-year students from Sint Lucas in Antwerp have designed the interiors of iconic female figures without depicting the celebrities themselves. Under the guidance of illustrator and lecturer Sebastiaan van Doninck, the students were assigned a name of an iconic female figure. They delved into the lives and work of these figures, gathered information, and created interiors filled with hints such as attributes, clothing, and furniture to reveal the identity of the women.
Eight works by the students have been selected for this exhibition. The expo offers a unique insight into the personalities of historical female figures through their interiors, demonstrating how revealing an interior can be about the person who lives in it.
