Get ready for a day of fresh theatre, abrasive dance, culinary performances, kinetic textiles and intimate activism at Rooms Performance Festival 2025. This festival offers a unique opportunity to experience six different performances, each with their own story and artistic vision. 

Line up:

  • Sofie Kramer: Known for her innovative pole dancing performances, in which she plays with audience expectations and pole dancing clichés.
  • Ahmed El Gendy: An artist who creates intimate experiences through silence and proximity, as in his project Zero Counters.
  • Amparo González Sola: Her work explores empathy and shared experiences, inviting audiences to rethink the dynamics of distance and proximity.
  • Tabor Idema: With a focus on personal and provocative performances, Tabor explores the ways in which trauma can be endured and healed.

  • Jasmine Karimova & Johannes Offerhaus: This duo combine their respective disciplines in a performative installation that explores the finite nature of air and engages the audience in a conscious, far-reaching decision.

Besides the performances, the festival also offers a preview of Vultures & Fireflies, an exhibition by artist Alejandro Galván. This exhibition offers a unique perspective on the working-class neighbourhood of Nezahualcóyotl, a suburb of Mexico City.
