The shop window is full of piles of rustic breads, inviting you to step inside. Beware though, the chances are dangerously high here that you will walk out with delicious produce irresistible! Local wines, or just that top wine from France, homemade sausages and showcases full of cheeses. At Le Salonard you can indulge yourself. 't Rommedoeke
With three branches, 't Rommedoeke is now a household name in Maastricht when it comes to delicatessens. Named after perhaps the most famous (or infamous) cheese from this region. By the way, they are not only known for their wide range of cheese, but also for the various local wines, olives, salads and fine meats. Also highly recommended if you want to take your daily 'cheese sandwich' to the next level!

La Pepita
In the St Peter's district (take an instant stroll down St Peter's Mount), you'll find this gem among delis. Hip drinks, chips in bags you don't want to open because they look so pretty... But also sandwiches to-go. Which is an understatement, because the sandwiches at La Pepita are truly unique. The New York Reuben sandwich with beef pastrami satisfies even the biggest hunger, wow! Next level lunch, go!

A la Paco
When it comes to Spanish delicacies, A la Paco is not to be missed. On a side street off the Vrijthof, step inside the walhalla of Spanish delicacies. Bocadillo serrano ham to-go? Si! Bag full of tapas, olives, manchego cheese and bread? Si señor! At A la Paco, you're in the right place. Literally, because there is also plenty of room to sit down, inside and outside in the city garden, where you can enjoy Spanish lunch with tapas or Andalusian almond cake in peace and quiet.

Le Souk
A few doors down from Le Salonard (tip 1) is this small but oh-so-fine shop. At Le Souk, you really can find all the goodies from Morocco. The owner has been running this household name in the city centre for years. Want a real tip? Then let her compile a few trays of olives and dips herself. She knows the best flavour combinations for a unique cocktail package like no other.
